Here is another March finish to add to the list:
My customer had purchased some Birch organic fabrics, including a faux patchwork panel, and she wanted them made into a quilt. I was a little nervous about cutting up the patchwork panel and piecing it into the quilt since the printed squares don't allow for seam allowances, but I was able to make it work.
It turns out the printed squares are slightly wider than they are long -- I think I ended up cutting blocks that were 8 1/4 by 8 1/2 inches, but it still worked! We chose a teal border to frame the center, and a cuddly minky backing.
I have to say, I do really like the way this turned out, so I may have to play around with the concept more in a future quilt!
Neato! Congratulations! :)
