Twenty-Five Quilts, Day 14

Today's featured quilt in my Twenty-Five Quilts blogging challenge is another tumbler quilt (always a favorite!)

This summer, I was finally able to visit one of my favorite online quilt shops, The Intrepid Thread, in Milpitas, CA. I love their selection, and it was such a pleasure to be able to see all of the fabrics in person.

I started with a multi-colored triangle print (lower right in above photo) and used it to choose all of the coordinates. The only thing I added from stash at home was the Amy Butler spots print.

I love the color combo, and I also love that many of the fabrics read as solids from far away.

I couldn't resist backing this one in some cuddly minky!

  1. Love following along with your 25 Quilts series! I have not made a tumbler quilt, but it is on my list. Do you need a special ruler to cut the tumblers or is it made from a template?

  2. Thanks for following along with my series! I use the Accuquilt Go die cutting machine and the 61/2 inch tumbler die, but there are tumbler rulers and templates out there, too!
